Clinic review tools being revised

The site and access tools for Providence Health Plans' Clinic On-Site Review Program, or CORP, are currently undergoing revision. These review tools will contain fewer elements, and clinics must meet all standards in order to receive a passing score. The medical record tool will remain largely unchanged, and the passing threshold will be greater than or equal to 85 percent. Developed by Providence in 2006, CORP conducts the following reviews:

  • Site reviews for all new primary care provider clinics at which Medicare or Medicaid patients are treated
  • Medical record and access reviews for primary care providers, roughly every five years
  • Re-reviews of providers or sites that were previously below threshold

Providence will begin performing annual reviews this summer. Revised tools will be available in the next several months. If you have questions or for more information, please contact Shannon Bedortha at
