On Aug. 1 major change to MMIS regarding Health Share of Oregon members
Do you have a contract with Providence Health Plan to see Health Share of Oregon members? If so, please read the following message.
If your office has not yet registered as a new user on Health Share of Oregon's new provider portal, you must do so before Aug. 1. This is necessary to check Health Share member eligibility and health plan assignments.
As of Aug. 1, MMIS no longer will provide the health plan assignment for Health Share members. In addition, 270/271 automated eligibility inquiries to the Oregon Health Authority's Division of Medical Assistance Programs' MMIS system no longer will identify the plan partner to which the member is assigned.
This means that instead of Health Share/CareOregon, Health Share/Kaiser, Health Share/Providence and Health Share/Tuality designations, MMIS will only show members as assigned to "Health Share."
To see the specific physical and mental health plan assignments under Health Share, provider offices now must use the new Health Share portal. The new portal replaces MMIS for checking the eligibility status of Oregon Health Plan members assigned to the Portland-area Coordinated Care Organization (CCO). Provider offices that serve Health Share CCO members can find the portal link, plus information on registration, training and frequently asked questions on Health Share's provider site.
If your office has not yet registered as a new user to gain access to the Web portal, PH Tech's secure Clinical Integration Manager (CIM), please call PH Tech support today at 503-584-2169. Select option 2 for CIM new-user registration or password changes.
Once you are registered and activated by PH Tech provider relations, each user in a provider office may directly register other users in that office. Each CIM user will require a unique username and password. A video on the Health Share website provides a step-by-step guide to using the new portal. In addition, all provider offices will have access to online training material and a webinar on the PH Tech site.
To learn more about training on the new Health Share portal, please contact PH Tech's provider relations department at 503-584-2169 or email email@example.com.
Remember, on Aug. 1, you'll no longer be able to verify health plan assignments for Health Share members on MMIS.
