    We want to make you aware of a new regulatory interpretation related to the issuance of transitional (formerly called grandmothered) small group SBCs. Carriers are required to provide a Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) to the employer 30 days in advance of the group’s renewal date.  

  • Individuals can still get health insurance

    Even though open enrollment is over for individuals, certain people can still apply for and enroll in health insurance. If your clients have a qualifying life event that results in their losing coverage or acquiring or becoming a dependent, they may be able to get covered. Things like losing employer coverage, marriage and birth of a child are examples of these events.
