With the continuing spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) within the U.S., Providence is working closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as state and local health authorities, to care for affected individuals while taking steps to limit person-to-person spread within our communities.
To reduce the risk of exposure for higher-risk individuals, we are cancelling all Providence Medicare Advantage community meetings for March and April, 2020.
Health officials continue to urge all individuals to take steps to protect those who are most vulnerable to complications from COVID-19. Those considered “high risk” include adults 60 and older, anyone with a serious health condition or anyone who has a suppressed immune system.
People vulnerable to complications should follow federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations to stay home as much as possible and avoid gatherings.
