Why cancer screenings matter

Do you know someone with – or have you had – cancer? Maybe you've even lost someone close to you to the disease. In spite of continued medical advances, the cure for cancer remains elusive. And as long as the search for a cure continues, we believe preventive cancer screenings are your best defense. Getting a mammogram, Pap test or colonoscopy are the best ways to catch breast, cervical and colorectal cancers early, and all of those screenings are covered by insurance.

We acknowledge that all of these screenings – though routine – are somewhat invasive, and in some cases, uncomfortable. We also believe that getting screened is the right thing to do – for yourself and for the people in your life who love and care about you. Don't let fear of the unknown derail your commitment to good health. Talk to your primary care provider about what screenings are right for you, and when.
