Public Employees’ Benefit Board retains Providence

Providence Health Plan received good news: The Public Employees' Benefit Board (PEBB) selected Providence to continue administering PEBB’s Statewide and Choice plans, just as we do today.

According to Providence Health Plan's CEO Jack Friedman, “This is a testament to the great work done by our teams across Providence – from the plan to PMG to our first-rate hospitals and other facilities.”

PEBB also decided to add regional competition from Moda (in the Portland, Eugene and eastern Oregon areas) and two smaller coordinated care organizations (CCOs): Trillium Health (in Lane County) and Mid-Rogue Plan (in southern Oregon). Kaiser also will continue to be an option for PEBB members.
